Learn to fly in Kent
Flying for work: flying for fun
Aviation has seen tremendous growth over the past 50 years. The COVID pandemic in 2020 saw travel decline. But people have a passion to travel and to take to the air, and we are seeing a return to growth. If you want to become a professional pilots, whether you want to fly an Airbus A380 for an airline or the new F35 Lightning for the RAF, it all starts in a single engine light aircraft. You learn the basic skills that you will carry with you throughout your career.
If your goal is to fly light aircraft around the UK and Europe and maybe take friends or family for golf in Le Touquet or meals in Antwerp; then we can help make that dream come true.
From first take-off to first solo, to your PPL
Once you have completed a trial lesson you can decide how far you want to progress, was it just a one off taster? Or do you want to acquire some basic skills? Do you want to face the challenge of the first solo or go all the way to your Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL)?
Ground School
The PPL offers an insight into practical application of Maths, Physics, Meteorology, Geography and Engineering. To gain your PPL you will need to study. Ground school, and proving your understanding of the theory through 9 exams set by the CAA is a crucial element. But you also get to apply the theory during your flying training. Much of the ground-school is self-study, and we offer easy to use online training packages. Your instructor will pick up key points in briefing sessions, and will help you if you find some aspects challenging.
