Your trial flying lesson from Headcorn
A no commitment flight experience – look at the beautiful scenery of Kent and East Sussex while starting to learn a new skill. Fly for 1 hour – you will fly the aeroplane and you test out the primary effects of the controls.
We willl provide a comprehensive pre-flight briefing covering safety issues, and making sure you know what to expect from your flight:
- Guided tour of the aircraft;
- Instructor will start the engine, taxy and take off;
- Instructor will demonstrate use of the main controls;
- You will take over and practice using the main controls;
- Instructor will land the aircraft;
- Once on the ground - a full post flight de-brief, what went well and what could be improved;
- And you will recieve a certificate providing all the details you need for your logbook.
Remember: This flight counts towards your PPL ……. Maybe you have only 44 hours to go!

Your flight experience – distance flown and your time at the controls – will depend on the length of the flight, but let your instructor know if there is anywhere in Kent / East Sussex that you want to see from above.
Example costs for your flying lesson
For your trial lesson you should expect to pay:
- 30 minutes £140 – around 20 minutes in the air (plus taxying, take off and landing)
- 45 minutes £190 – around 35 minutes in the air
- 60 minutes £240 – around 50 minutes in the air.
